Songwriter Teaching Artist @ Lincoln Center Theater

I'm officially joining Lincoln Center Theater as their newest Teaching Artist as a Songwriter/Composer. So excited for what's ahead!

PANGAEA: The Musical at Marymount Manhattan College

We had 3 amazing presentations (the evenings were sold out!) of PANGAEA: The Musical at Marymount. Thank you to all the invaluable cast, creative, and crew who put their 180% into the production!

  MuseMatch @ 54 Below

Performed an irreverent new duet with Bart Shatto (Jean Valjean, original Les Miserables) that I wrote called "Asian Girls Are So Hot" for a benefit for Men Can Stop Rape at 54 Below on January 19. We had such a kickass time coming up with the concept for this kooky song.

Next to Normal Benefit for the JED Foundation

I'll be music-directing a one-night-only NYC performance of the Tony- and Pulitzer-prize winning musical "Next To Normal" on Feb 1, 2018 @ 7pm at the JCC Manhattan, starring Tony Award nominee Christiane Noll. Tom Kitt will also be in attendance. All proceeds benefit The JED Foundation, which protects mental health in young adults! Get tix here!

  Lincoln Center Holiday Songbook

I had a blast singing my newest holiday song "Why Can't Every Day Be Christmas" at the annual Holiday Songbook Concert at Lincoln Center. Loved listening to the other performances as well!

  PANGAEA: The Musical @ BCTR

PANGAEA: The Musical is being developed at Bingham Camp Theatre Retreat (BCTR) under the artistic direction of Devanand Janki. Here are a few photos from a recent outdoor gala concert, "Broadway on the River," featuring Broadway stars Andrea Burns (On Your Feet, In The Heights), Zonya Love Johnson (The Color Purple), and more.

PANGAEA will also be produced at Marymount Manhattan College in January 2018 for the MT @MMC FESTIVAL 2018.

Had an incredible first workshop of PANGAEA, which was awarded a two-week development production in September 2017 in CT. Wrote 8 new songs and rewrote 11 for the show! Got very little sleep, but totally worth it.

  #BARS @ The Public Theater

I was one of 10 artists (a range of hip hop artists, rappers, and spoken word poets) selected to write and perform in the #BARS workshop at The Public Theater with Daveed Diggs (original Jefferson/Lafayette, Hamilton) and Rafael Casal (HBO's Def Jam). The performances in August 2017 were littttt! Stay tuned for the video we filmed of my main piece!

We Could Be Free with Vic Mensa

My recent collab was for a live music video with hip hop star Vic Mensa (who Jay-Z recently called a "once in a lifetime artist") for his song "We Could Be Free" at VEVO. "We Could Be Free" is his anthem about hope from his debut album "The Autobiography."

  Women of Note

I was recently a featured artist in New York Musical Festival's "Women of Note" showcase in July 2017. Past featured songwriter powerhouses include Tony winner Jeanine Tesori ("Fun Home"), Lynn Ahrens/Stephen Flaherty ("Anastasia", "Ragtime"), Tom Kitt ("Next to Normal"), and Kait Kerrigan/Brian Lowdermilk.

  Chicken Soup for the Soul

I'm currently commissioned to write a musical for the mega-hit book series "Chicken Soup for the Soul" that will be released worldwide through Rodgers & Hammerstein Theatricals.

  SPACE on Ryder Farm

Writers residencies are the best! I did one as a 2017 Creative Resident at SPACE on Ryder Farm, along with incredible Broadway composers Dave Malloy and Shaina Taub. My life was zen, inspiration, and kale. #organicfarmtotable

  Lift Every Voice and Sing

My work was featured at Musical Theatre Factory's "Lift Every Voice and Sing" concert at Joe's Pub. Click here to learn more.

Front and Center with Jeanine Tesori

I was selected by Tony Winning composer Jeanine Tesori as one of two composers to workshop new work at New York City Center's 2017 "Front and Center"

BMI Lehman Engel Musical Theatre Workshop

I was super happy to receive the invitation to join the highly selective BMI (Broadcast Music Inc.) Lehman Engel Musical Theatre Workshop for the 2016-2018 season - following in the footsteps of my childhood idol Disney composer Alan Menken (who was also a workshop member)!
